Blue Ridge Realty & Investments

John Rice founded Blue Ridge Realty & Investments in 1981. Blue Ridge Realty quickly became a leader in land development in the High Country second home market, and continues its market leadership nearly three decades later. Their projects have ranged from basic layout of lots and roads to full scale of resort development. The three signature style points of Blue Ridge-designed projects are blending with the environment, elegance in a practical setting, and continued value appropriate for the long term.

Our firm takes great pride in the maturity and longevity of its agents. Charles Taylor joined Blue Ridge Realty in 1985, Deborah Kirksey in 1986, Mary Jane Rice in 1989, Edie Milano in 1994, and Todd Rice in 2004. In 2005, the company expanded and returned to its roots with offices on Highway 105 in Boone, after a decade on Shulls Mill road just outside of Blowing Rock; the Shulls Mill office continues, primarily as a property and resort management office. Our continued success has resulted in attracting two more recent additions to our team — Bill Aceto and Jerry Hutchens bring a vast array of experiences, talents, and energy, and unique market knowledge.
